Time Zone Map

The 24 nominal offset bands from UTC−12 to UTC+14, shaded with tonight's terminator and dotted with your saved cities. Because the terminator and city times are computed live, daylight saving is reflected the moment it takes effect.

About the projection

The map uses an equirectangular projection: longitude maps directly to horizontal position and latitude to vertical, which makes the 15° offset bands appear as equal-width columns. Real political time zones follow borders rather than meridians — China, for instance, spans five nominal bands but uses one clock — so treat the bands as a guide to solar time and the city dots as the authoritative offsets.
